About Me

I’m a software developer, artist, dog lover, and former elementary teacher. I love creating interactive, responsive, and fun web applications. I lean towards front-end work and creating vibrant and appealing UIs, but also enjoy building and working with databases.

When I'm not coding, you can find me cooking Italian food, doodling on my iPad, biking, or shopping for new plants I don't need.

Recent Projects

I'm always coding something. Here are some of my featured works.

Interiorize

Interiorize is a PERN stack application built for those who don't have the knack or time to decorate their homes. Drawing inspiration from services such as Stitch Fix, Interiorize guides users through a style quiz to determine the perfect box of decor for the user. Interiorize also features a shop that was built using the Interiorize API. This API contains over 100 items scraped from Wayfair. As part of a 4-member team, I was responsible for the site wireframe and the creation of the user profile and style quiz components. I also created the shopping cart calculation functions and item removal using React Hooks.

Tadpole

Tadpole is a full-stack application that combines music and weather. Tadpole was designed for people that like to match the music they listen to with the weather outside. After users create an account, they can head to their dashboard where they can check the daily and weekly forecasts. On the dashboad, a playlist is also displayed based on the daily forecast. This was an individual project built over the course of one week for school.

Mouse Guide

Our team of three was inspired to make Mouse Guide after browsing several Disney World planning sites and realizing how overwhelming or confusing they were. Mouse Guide is our solution to making Disney trip planning easy. Once users have created an account, they can pick from four different parks and add activities, lodging, and dining from that corresponding park and add it to their itinerary. Users can also easily delete selections from their itinerary. I primarily worked on creating the data structure and setting up the MVC for the itinerary and selection pages.

Deto No Yoru - Date Night

Tired of arguing with your partner or friends about what to watch or eat? Deto No Yoru is our group's solution to ending those painful nights of endless scrolling. Deto No Yoru generates a random anime and local restaurant, so you can easily plan your perfect date night. As part of this three person team, I was responsible for fetching information from APIs and the backend JavaScript. I also did the CSS and JavaScript for the 'Trending' page. A major focus for our group was to ensure that this web app was completely mobile responsive.
